A new, revolutionary concept

BLACKSOCKS is a small company founded in 1999 by Samy Liechti and Marcel Roth. Whereas Roth left BLACKSOCKS in 2005, Liechti is the managing director of the company still today. The two founders of BLACKSOCKS had a revolutionary idea: They planned to establish a concept called „Sockscription“. Consisting of the two words „socks“ and „subscription“, Sockscription refers to a system of periodical sock-delivery. BLACKSOCKS’ offering rangers from calf socks to business socks and knee socks. Moreover, customers can choose from different shipping schedules: The sock-delivery service may be ordered for up to six times a year. As the company’s name suggests, only black socks can be subscribed. This as opposed to other products such as underwear or shirts which are also available in white or grey.

BLACKSOCKS does not only offer a variety of sock-models and colours but also a wide range of fabrics. Customers can choose from silk, cashmere, Merino wool or fine bio-cotton. The latest idea of Samy Liechti is a winter-proof ski sock, made from finest Merino wool and polypropylene which absorbs moisture and keeps one’s feet dry and warm. Concering BLACKSOCKS’ high quality underwear men are offered various models and textiles. There are boxers as well as briefs, fine-ribbed textiles as well as sleek materials. Moreover, men can order shirts: Seven models are available and delivered within the following 4 days.
